First-Generation Scholarships

The scholarship application is currently open and accepting applications through March 1, 2025.

First-generation college students enrolled in undergraduate degree programs in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University's Tempe campus may apply for The College's pool of first-generation scholarships. Students are only required to submit one application to The College First-Generation Scholarships to be considered for all first-generation scholarships they are eligible for within that pool. Award amounts vary depending on the specific first generation scholarship, but The College typically awards around $35,000 total in scholarships via The College First-Generation Scholarships, with student awards typically ranging from $750 to $6,500 per academic year.

Students must complete and submit an application through ScholarshipUniverse.

Note that there are two first-generation scholarships in The College that have their own separate applications, the Faire Elizabeth Virgin Sax Scholarship and the Irwin R. Sheer and Yvonne H. Sheer Scholarship.
