- Check-in: Check-in is from 1-2:15 p.m. Graduating students must enter through the southeast gates of Sun Devil Stadium. Check-in is located under the south bleachers, just inside the southeast gates. Follow the signs to find your check-in location based on the first letter of your last name. Pick up your “Reader Card” at the check-in table and proceed through the tunnels to the field. The Reader Card is used to identify you when you cross the stage to receive your diploma cover.

- Seating arrangements: Graduating student seating is not alphabetical or by major/degree – you get to sit with your friends in the student section.
- Graduates with ADA needs: If you, the graduate, will require special accommodations during the ceremony, please indicate your needs on the RSVP form, which you can access from your myASU page.
- Cap and gown: You must wear your cap and gown throughout the ceremony. You can order your cap and gown here until 11:59 p.m. on November 13. After this date, you will only be able to purchase graduation regalia through the campus bookstore. Click here to learn how to wear the undergraduate cap and gown and here for the graduate regalia. At Convocation, you will wear your tassel on the left as you will have officially graduated on Monday, December 11 at University Commencement.
- Honors cords will not be available at the ceremony. If you qualify for honors cords (undergraduates with a GPA of 3.4 or higher), you can pick up those cords at the University Registrar’s Office. ASU Online students who have earned honor cords will receive them via mail. They will be mailed automatically to eligible students based on the requirements listed here.
- Diplomas: If your university academic requirements are met, you will receive your diploma in the mail. Diplomas are mailed approximately eight weeks after the degree conferral date. Graduates will receive an email notification via their ASU email account when their diploma has been mailed. Diplomas are mailed to the student's diploma mailing address, which can be viewed and updated from My ASU. For more information, visit students.asu.edu/diploma.
