Get started at The College.

As an admitted transfer student, one of your most important tasks is registering for your first semester at ASU. Follow the steps below to set yourself up for success.

If you have not yet been admitted and are considering transferring to ASU, get the information you need at the Transfer to ASU webpage.

Step 1

Fill out the Transfer Registration Worksheet.

Complete the transfer registration worksheet to give your advisor a sense of your course needs.

Tip: Immediately after you submit the worksheet, you will receive a link to an online Transfer Workshop that will help you prepare for your appointment and help your advisor give you the best experience possible. The workshop only requires about 20 minutes to complete. We recommend you complete it prior to your appointment.

Step 2

Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor.

Call us at 480-965-6506 to schedule an advising appointment.

You will meet with a new student advisor either virtually or in-person at Armstrong Hall, which is the home of The College. Your new student advisor will review your degree requirements with you, show you how your prior college credits have transferred to your ASU program, and help you explore the class schedule and begin enrolling. Your advisor will also introduce you to services available to all students in The College and, most importantly, answer your questions.

Step 3

Meet your academic advisor for your major

Your new student advisor will introduce you to your academic advisor in the school or department that offers your major. Your major advisor will introduce you to even more opportunities available to students in your major, point you toward resources that will help you achieve your academic and professional goals, and continue to work with you through graduation.
