The College Ambassadors

Who are the Student Ambassadors of The College? 

The College Ambassadors is a select group of undergraduate students in The College who primarily serve as representatives of The College at university-wide events on the Tempe campus designed to recruit new ASU students and their families. Ambassadors share their experiences as Sun Devils and provide “insider” information and advice about succeeding in The College. 

Ambassadors may also have opportunities to be featured in The College’s social media and other communications designed to showcase the many distinctive experiences that students enjoy in The College. 

If you are an enthusiastic team-player who wants to excite future Sun Devils and their families, show off your communication skills, talk about your career aspirations, and be a part of a great group of ambassadors, read on! 

Benefits

As a Student Ambassador of The College, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build your leadership and communication skills at fun, interactive events on the Tempe campus, speaking with prospective students and families from across the country.
  • Network with students from across The College’s schools and departments. 
  • Be recognized with a scholarship of up to $250 per semester. 

Expectations 

As a Student Ambassador of The College, you will:

  • Share your Sun Devil Story with prospective students and their families at recruitment events on the Tempe campus, highlighting the benefits of your major(s), any co-curricular and career development activities in which you’ve participated, your future goals, and more!
  • Participate in at least ten recruitment events on the Tempe campus each semester. (Each event typically requires a commitment of only 30 - 60 minutes.)
  • Participate in meetings in Armstrong Hall with your fellow ambassadors (no more than two per month) to prepare for upcoming events as a team.
  • Be an undergraduate student in good standing in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. 

How do I become an ambassador? 

Please submit an application to be considered. 

We accept applications year-round. To ensure full consideration, we encourage you to apply before these priority deadlines: 

  • To be an ambassador for the spring 2025 semester, apply by November 15, 2024.

How are ambassadors selected? 

The College selects 10-12 ambassadors each semester. We seek team-players who will represent a wide variety of The College’s schools and departments, share their Sun Devil stories and career aspirations with enthusiasm to inspire future students, and commit 10-15 hours per semester to participate in recruitment events and team meetings. 

For the 2024-25 academic year, we are actively recruiting students from all schools and departments of The College.
