Internship scholarships

Undergraduate students enrolled in degree programs offered by The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences may apply for up to $2,500 in internship scholarships. Internship scholarship applications for 2023-2024 are available starting April 20, 2023.

There are different scholarships with varied application criteria. Only one application is required for all scholarships. Students will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

Available internship scholarships

The scholarships listed below are open to students in all majors in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (all scholarship amounts are approximate).

  • Gretchen M. Bataille Futures Center Scholarship (one scholarship at approximately $800)
  • Roskind Scholars Scholarship (up to eight scholarships of between $500 and $2,500)
Gretchen M. Bataille Futures Center Scholarship

The Gretchen M. Bataille Futures Center Scholarship intends to provide students opportunities to explore their career opportunities and gain experiences that will enhance their future work successes by having paid internships and/or scholarships that enable them to participate in the work economy before graduation.

Roskind Scholars Scholarship

The Roskind Scholars Scholarship intends to provide students with opportunities to explore their career opportunities and gain experiences that will enhance their future work successes by having paid internships and/or scholarships that enable them to participate in the work economy before graduation.

Criteria

General criteria

To be considered for an internship scholarship, a student must:

  • Be an undergraduate student currently enrolled full-time, in good academic standing and pursuing a degree program in The College.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Demonstrate documented financial need by completing the FAFSA.
  • Have at least a cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Have completed at least 12 ASU credit hours at the time of application.

Your internship may be in-person or virtual, domestic or international, paid or unpaid.

In order to be considered for an internship scholarship, your internship experience must:

  • Require you to work a minimum of 5 hours per week for 12 weeks. Actual hours will impact credit hours earned.
  • Begin no earlier than one week prior to semester start date.
  • Conclude no later than one week after semester end date.
  • Fulfill the requirements for an appropriate credit-bearing internship course. (Scholarship recipients must register for the appropriate credit-bearing internship course prior to starting the internship.)
