Through casual discussion and open floor Q&A, you'll connect with colleagues whose experience and hindsight may help you navigate this exciting next step in your career. A panel discussion related to teaching best practices, including managing/maximizing prep time, understanding the ASU student population, online vs. immersion classrooms, mentoring undergraduate students, and avoiding first-year pitfalls.

Dean Patrick Kenney shares the vision for The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, followed by open discussion during a casual luncheon with Deans Jeffrey Cohen, Elizabeth Wentz and Nancy Gonzales.

A panel discusses and answers your questions related to best practices for establishing your program of research and scholarship, including balancing your time, strategizing short- and long-term outcomes, getting a lab up and running, managing a research group, establishing productive collaborations, getting your book published, and getting funded. 

Service and Citizenship at ASU | Jan 31 | noon-2:00 p.m.| ARM 250
A panel discussion on ASU and departmental citizenship, how to navigate a new department, balancing research, teaching, and service, and how to advance your tenure case through strategic service.

Preparing for the Tenure Review | Feb 28 | noon-2:00 p.m.| ARM 250
Associate Dean of Faculty Linda Luecken will discuss the tenure track, including the various reviews on the path to tenure as well as strategies for a successful tenure review.
