Achieve your career goals with an internship

Internships have become key to succeeding in today’s economy and landing a full-time position upon graduation. Besides opening the door for future employment, internships allow you to “test drive” a career, network with professionals, accumulate new skills and gain real-world perspective – all while earing academic credit. Internship requirements may vary, so make sure to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor to stay on track.

Maximize your experience through research

The benefits of participating in research as an undergraduate are numerous and far reaching. You’ll work with renowned faculty on cutting-edge projects to solve some of society’s biggest challenges. From understanding the research process to learning about diverse cultural needs, you’ll develop skills highly sought after by employers looking to hire recent graduates. Research experience also enriches your resume for graduate school applications.

Study abroad and immerse yourself in culture

If you want to see the world while earning academic credit, consider studying abroad for a semester. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the allure and culture of a new environment, from family traditions and local foods to social customs and entertainment. Plus, you’ll learn a variety of new skills – such as gaining a global perspective and honing your language skills – which are attractive to graduate school admission boards and future employers.
