Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership  (Minor)

Do you want to play a role in shaping our society? A minor in civic and economic thought and leadership complements your primary degree with a foundation of skills grounded in the liberal arts and sciences and designed to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Program Description

The minor program in civic and economic thought and leadership trains students to read and understand influential ideas in philosophy, economics and politics in order to become leaders in their field of study. Through faculty use of the Socratic method teaching style, students are challenged in the classroom and forced to think critically about the problems that impact society today.

Students in the minor participate in a high-impact curriculum and are eligible for a global intensive experience, leadership seminars, an internship program and special access to prominent scholars and visiting fellows.
